President's Message

Do you read the Sunday Living Section in the D&C, and turn to the book section, and think, "I wish I could do that."

Have you ever read the book, the current office rage, only to put it down after two chapters and think, "I can write better than that."

If you have a manuscript hiding in the bottom drawer of your desk, growing mold, or one that resides under your bed in a deadly duel with dust bunnies, haul that puppy out and let us take a look at it.

Don't let "what ifs" die on the vine--come join us--Lilac City-Rochester Writers.

We are a group of local writers, some published, some pre-published, who've been around the block a time or two. We know the ropes--some of them anyway.
Our meetings are fun; we do a lot of laughing, and a lot of applauding.

Our goal is to support writers of fiction, no matter where on the road to publication they might be.
Want to know how to find an agent? An editor? Ask us.
Need some help getting started? We'll help.
Has someone told you the book of your heart has a sagging middle? We can help you exercise those pages till they're so tight you can bounce a dime off them.

Confused about POV? Need some help with goals. motivation, and conflict? We're the ones for you.
Want to learn more about creating memorable characters? Come join us at our April meeting. We've got a speaker who'll knock your socks off.

Hey, it won't hurt to try.
peace,
Kat Henry Doran
